Grade 7 Math Unit 1

The Number System: Rational Numbers: Students will make connections from positive integers to negative integers. Students will connect what they know about addition and subtraction, to add, subtract, multiply, and divide positive and negative numbers. Students will also deepen their understanding of rational numbers.

Grade 7 Math Unit 2

Expressions, Equations, and Inequalities: Students will deepen their understandings of relationships between quantities as they write and simplify expressions, equations, and inequalities that represent real world contexts.

Grade 7 Math Unit 3

Students will learn to extend knowledge of proportional relationships and ratios related to scale drawings and other real-world situations. They will represent a relationship between two quantities by identifying a constant of proportionality or unit rate. They will also apply proportional relationships and ratios to percent problems.

Grade 7 Math Unit 4

Students will learn to gather and analyze data to make informed decisions, interpret variability and predict future outcomes based on data analysis.

Grade 7 Math Unit 5

Students will solve real-life and mathematical problems involving angle measures, area, circumference, surface area and volume.
